Sonnie Badu – Let Peace Rain.

On the 1st December 2012, the Dome (Accra, Ghana) was proud to open its doors to the thousands of guests who had eagerly anticipated the Let Peace Rain Concert headline by one of Africa’s world acclaimed Gospel Acts: Sonnie Badu. The concert was anything short of a sold out concert, with many attendees celebrating outside of its gates not wanting to miss this great occasion. The sole aim of the event was to remind the entire nation of the necessity of peace during the Presidential elections, and the joyful bond it creates between communities and tribes regardless of beliefs and traditions. Not forgetting that Ghana, is often seen by the Western world in particular as the epitome of how a peaceful election should occur.
The likes of Oheema Mercie, Cwesi Oteng, Nii Okai and other prominent Gospel figures performed alongside Sonnie Badu. The audience was also graced by the special guest appearance of Lionel Peterson of South Africa. It was rightly befitting that a man of his stature, whose Gospel song ‘PEACE’ was widely renowned for its impact, throughout the African continent in 1993, to invoke peace in such a time like this.
Sonnie Badu was accompanied by a 20 piece band that brought every note, melody and harmony to life keeping the entire audience on its toes all night long.
Celebrities such as Ramsey Noah, Funny Face, John Dumelo and Fred Nuamah were also present at the event.
I had a blast capturing such a Epic concert and I hope you enjoy the pictures.

I had the privileged once again to meet up with one of Ghana’s best photographers Emmanuel Bobbie. This time we decided that we will do a studio shoot as this is not something that I rarely do. I had a blast at his studio and I must say I learnt a lot from the little time I spent shooting with him.

Ghana Elections 2012

Ghana Elections 2012

Today my Fellow Ghanaians went to the polling stations within Ghana to vote for Ghana’s next President. The voting process was very peaceful although voting did start later than the scheduled time which was 7am. I took a few picture of the votes being counted at a polling station near the Spintex Road. Not everyone was able to get their vote in on time as the queue was very long and voting stopped at 5pm. A few of the polling stations will continue to vote on the 08/12/2012..
New Patriotic Party or National Democratic Congress who will win…

Whilst i was in Ghana during the month of October 2012, I had the oppotunity to meet up with one of Ghana’s well established photographers Emmanuel Bobbie. We decided to take a quick trip to Aburi Mountains, the Botanical Gardens to do a photoshoot. The shoot was for Fanta’s Creations, the photoshoot was cut short due to torrential rain.
