Welcome to JOT Photography the Blog.
My current career is a culmination of a long-standing interest in photography from a very young age. Ever since receiving a kids Vtech camera as a birthday present I have enjoyed documenting life and the changing environment around me. What originally started as a very enthusiastic hobby developed with my skills and abilities into what is now a passionate, burgeoning, professional career.
A London-based Ghanaian, my first professional opportunity came at the age of 18 shooting for an African Magazine called Sankofa, however it wasn't until the summer of 2009 that I started to take photography serious, following the completion of my masters certificate in Interactive Multimedia.
Over the last year or so, I have started to come of age with my abilities, carving a specialty in wedding photography. My aim is always to documents the day's events in a creative, classy and commemorative way which allows the pictures to come alive and the happy couple to relive the candid and celebratory moments of their special day forever.
It has been a hard journey to get to this stage, and the realization that I am developing everyday and have yet to reach my zenith, professionally speaking, reminds me that with patience, perseverance and passion I will one day be the best photographer I can be, and this I work for each and every day.
Aburi Botanical Gardens Accra
5-April-2013
These few images where taken on my way up to Aburi Botanical Gardens. I bumped into a elderly woman who was carrying rocks up the Aburi Mounatins Accra and I asked her if she would mind me getting a few shots of her. I tried carrying the rocks myself, do not be fooled they are very HEAVY…
Enjoy.
